0002 Lilac Lane

Kala gulped before walking towards the little brown house at Lilac Lane right next to hers. "I'm pretty sure that Wren lives here. She said she was moving to a house soon...and I don't see any others," Kala murmured under her breath. Then she knocked on the cute little door and waited for the handle to move. She focused her gaze on it as she waited patiently.

Wren fell on her couch, exhausted from all the work moving. Littered around were her items, including a few apples, her tableset and the bouncy toy she had played with Kala at her old home.

Suddenly the doorbell rang. Jerked alert, the bird flew over to the entrance and opened the door. "Kala!" she exclaimed with excitement, "You're here!" She hugged her friend and motioned for her to come inside, energy all of the sudden bursting out of her, the opposite of how she was a minute ago.

Kala smiled affectionately at her friend that she had left to go to Berylville. "Hello, Wren," She squeaked in excitement. "I have some good news, but if you do, just share!" She closed her eyes to smile before putting her long ear on Wren's shoulder.

Wren laughed. "I don't have much to share, but I'm sure you do from your travels. How are you and what was Berylville like? Is it as hot like they say it is?"

"Well, yes," Kala explained. She didn't want to tell Wren that she wrapped a light blue present for her, so she skipped that event in her mind, and started to speak about her lucky ticket to Valleystop. "I'm going to Valleystop, since I'm going to Floe after that, I hope," Kala started. "And guess what? It said that my plane would only have a delay, even though 4/6 of all planes are cancelled. And back to Berylville...I bought a lot of mochi there. It was delicious when I tried one." She didn't want to seem rude by telling Wren about all the mouthwatering food she ate, so she decided to try and look through her bags to find a mochi for Wren to try at this moment.

Kala perked up. "Valleystop?" she gasped, "You're so lucky!" Then her mouth began to water as she heard of the delicious mochi. "I'd love to try some," she said absentmindedly, half daydreaming about food when she suddenly piped up, "I heard a new spa opened at Berylville. Did you ever try it?"

OOC: Btw, it wasn't open before she left

BIC: "It wasn't open before I left to Little Town again," Kala said. Finally, she was able to find a green mochi in her bag and smiled more. "What a coincidence. I did bring some mochi in this bag. You can have it," She added. "And thanks about Valleystop. I can't wait to go. A delayed plane is nothing to me."

IC; Kala stared at the green mochi. It was lime and green, mesmerizing. She can taste its sweetness already. "You're not serious," she peeped under her breath. Mochi! She was so hungry.

"Yes, I am serious," Kala chuckled, handing it to Wren. "Just take it."

"Thanks so much!" Wren embraced Kala in a bone-cracking hug. She promptly took the snack and gave it a nibble, immediately falling in love with the taste. "Mmm," she closed her eyes, savoring the flavor and taking another bite, "This is great. I really ought to go to Berylville sometime."

Kala nodded. "The spa is open now, which is JUST my luck," She chuckled in embarrassment. "But the mochi there is the best."

"Maybe we can go together," Wren beamed and finished the rest of her mochi. "It's sunny here, but a trip to the beach would be nice for a change, don't you agree?" she fluffed her feathers, thinking about the ocean breeze, sea shells and more mochi. Island drinks are there too, she added to the thought as she waited for Kala's reply.

"Wait a moment," Kala thought, her voice getting louder each word she spoke. "Sure! I only have a ticket to Valleystop, and that means I can go anytime. So I can buy a Berylville ticket and go there before I go to Valleystop. Would that work out?"

"I think so," Wren pondered, "But I don't want to get in the way of your trip."

"Well, it's okay if you do. Friendship is better than traveling to a nice place, that's for sure," She chuckled.

Wren laughed. "Yeah," she agreed, "When should we go?" her smile was evident of her anticipation. The bird thought of something and added, "By the way, I heard Juniper is here," she shook her head, "Anyway, I guess it'll be fun to have a companion on a flight. Even when I took the subway I was the lone passenger."

"But, I like taking planes," Kala replied. "I can buy you a ticket if you're poor on money, Wren." Then she nodded about the remark about Juniper. "Does Juniper even have an apartment in Little Town?" She asked, tilted her head to look at Wren.

OOC: Also, on Valleystop, the little "*" is not even on Floe....so...there's no chance of a cancelled flight? xD

Wren laughed. "I'm fine on money! I was just talking about the subway because usually a lot of people take it, but when I went on it I was the only one." Then she listened to Kala's question and shook her head. "I don't think so," she peeped, "I didn't see any moving trucks or anything lately."

OOC; you go from Valleystop to Floe via a ski lift ^^ The ski lift always running 24/7; very reliable

BIC: Kala murmured, "Well, Juniper should. It's very nice here." Then she looked down. "But do you want to go on the plane or the subway?" She asked, not facing Wren directly.

"It is," Wren agreed and added, "I'd love to try a plane. Last time I went on a sub and I was pretty grossed out." She grimaced, thinking about the mice and junk littered on the floor.

"That's great," Kala said, smiling and lifting her head to look at Wren. "What do you want to do now though?"

Wren didn't hesitate. "Let's go to the Playhouse and then visit the Picnic area to eat!" she suggested excitedly.

Kala smiled. "Sure, Wren," She replied.

"I guess we can go...now?" the bird pondered for a moment and then chuckled. "The bouncing room is always fun, but the doodle room is too."
